Duties and Responsibilities
- Entry and set up of new claims.
- Answering phones/transfer calls.
- Assist customers with claim inquiries.
- Answer general claims questions.
- Learning industry terminology and the “language of claims”.
- Assist Claims Manager with tasks.
- This position would provide great opportunity for future advancement into a Claims Adjuster position.
Qualifications
- B.A. Degree or High School diploma with experience.
- Experience in or aptitude for customer service.
- Knowledge of or aptitude to learn basic Property & Casualty insurance terminology.
- Proficiency in keyboard and data entry and work effectively with computer system.
- Ability to organize, prioritize and work independently.
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to use logic, reasoning and diplomacy in a demanding environment.
- Commitment to company values and customer service.
- Willing to obtain license for independent adjuster when on board with company, if opportunity arises to move into a Claims Adjuster position
